New research starting on sustainable crop production
In the 2nd call of the ERA-NET SusCrop, 8 projects have been selected for funding, with a total funding request of roughly EUR 7.5 million. The aim of the 2nd call was to support scientifically excellent transnational research, development and innovation projects that contribute to the improvement of sustainability (environmental, economic and societal) and resilience of crop production within the European Research Area (ERA). In addition, the call has put greater emphasis on how projects may contribute to food and nutritional security in the light of climate change. The selected projects are expected to start early 2021.
