New forest-based value chain research opportunities
The ERA-Net Cofund ForestValue has launched a new call for joint European research, focussing on the whole forest-based value chain in the following three areas:
- Sustainable and multifunctional use and management of forests, to maximize their contribution to all SDGs
- Building with wood from various perspectives
- Analysis of benefits, synergies and trade-offs in the use of forest biomass.
Funders from DE, FI, FR, IE, LV, NO, PL, SI, SE, TR brought together an indicative public funding budget of over EUR 11 million. Partners from countries which are not participating in the joint Call are encouraged to join a consortium as additional partners with their own funding. The proposal deadline is the 13th of April.
