ERA-Net ‘Urban Transformation Capacities’ launches joint funding activity
The ERA-NET Cofund Urban Transformation Capacities (ENUTC) of the Joint Programming initiative ‘Urban Europe’, invites researchers, urban government authorities; including cities and municipalities, businesses, civil society and other stakeholders to build transnational consortia to create innovation and research projects that enable and support capacity building for urban transformations. The call includes three topics:
- Topic 1: Urban circular economies
- Topic 2: Community-based developments and urban innovation ecosystems
- Topic 3: Robust and resilient urban infrastructure and built environment.
A broad range of research and innovation projects that enable capacity building for urban transformations are invited to apply for funding. Project proposals should build upon previous experiences of building capacity in practice and build upon existing knowledge of transformation capacities towards urban sustainability, resilience and liveability. Funding partners from the Netherlands are participating in this call, which has brought together a total foreseen budget of over EUR 18 million from fourteen countries and the European Commission. The pre-proposal deadline will be the 15th of April, full proposal deadline will be in June.
On the 18th of February, a dedicated information webinar will be organised, followed by an online matchmaking event on the 9th of March. More information, including the call documents, is available at the JPI Urban Europe website.
