New ERA-NET Cofund ForestValue announces provisional Call launch with mixed budget of public and industrial (co-)funding
The ForestValue Cofund proposal, currently still awaiting evaluation results from the EC, is proactively pre-announcing a call for research projects. ForestValue builds on the success of three FP7 forest-related ERA-NETs: WoodWisdom-Net, SUMFOREST and FORESTERRA. It brings together both public funding from national governments and co-funding from the EC as well as industrial cofounding, thus allowing industrial partners and SME’s to participate in research calls. This type of public-private cooperation drives a more end-user approach that serves well for basic research but can also support closer-to-market research to support new ideas and develop new markets. Main directions within the scope of the call will be sustainable management of forests and innovative production technologies, industrial processing, products and services.
Anticipating a positive evaluation result, the expected opening of the call for proposals is foreseen for September 2017 and to close in December 2017. More information can be found here.
