MACSUR Science Conference has taken stock of recent activities and set out future plans

From the 22nd to the 24th of May, the MACSUR Science Conference was held in Berlin. At the conference, the international community of agricultural (crop, livestock and trade) modellers and stakeholders from any segments of agriculture were brought together.

The second phase of the FACCE-JPI MACSUR Knowledge Hub, that ran from June 2015 to May 2017, emphasized cross-disciplinary alinging and integration. The conference was a summit of the international community of agricultural modellers and stakeholders  and had three main objectives:

  • Providing an overview on recent activities and achievements in crop, livestock, trade and integrated modelling and cross-cutting activities;
  • Providing a forum for exchanging experience, sharing solutions and developing new collaborations with and among MACSUR partners;
  • Shaping the future of the MACSUR community, setting out the directions.
