JPI Climate Outreach and dissemination workshop attracts participants from different countries to Venice

The "JPI Climate Outreach and dissemination workshop" took place on 5 November, 2015, at the premises of the Fondazione Eni Enrico Mattei, in the Island of San Giorgio Maggiore, in Venice, Italy. The meeting was chaired by Roger Street (University of Oxford, UK, and JPI Climate).

The aim of this event was to explore engagement opportunities with funding agencies, stakeholders and researchers in countries and organisations not currently linked with JPI Climate, with a view to expanding access to knowledge and evidence from research across Europe to better inform policy and practice initiatives.

The discussions focussed on topics such as the areas of the JPI Climate research agenda that are of particular interest to the workshop participants' countries, the instruments for collaboration that are potentially appealing to these countries and the potential enablers and barriers to their participation within JPI Climate. The participants were also invited to provide specific suggestions as to actions that JPI Climate could take that would facilitate the engagement of their countries in this initiative.
