International BIOEAST conference on cooperation in bioeconomy research on 20th of September in Hungary

The Central Eastern European Initiative for Knowledge-based Agriculture, Aquaculture and Forestry in Bioeconomy (BIOEAST), will present their results of the past two years during the 78th National Agriculture and Food Exhibition and Fair (OMÉK) in Hungary. BIOEAST aims at improving the sustainable growth of knowledge-based agriculture, aquaculture and forestry in the bioeconomy for the Central and Eastern European (CEE) regions. Participation is  free of charge, but requires registration (see links below).

The "Added value of cooperation in bioeconomy research conference - International BIOEAST conference” is organised by the Hungarian Ministry of Agriculture (FM), the Research Institute of Agricultural Economics (AKI) and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO).

On the 21st of September the “Strategic thinking: building a research and innovation led Bioeconomy” conference will also take place during OMÉK. This conference focuses on opportunites in the bioeconomy. Presentations from EU-15 Member States show experiences on developing the economy in the direction of the bioeconomy and Hungarian examples of  best practices in the field of R&I-based cooperation for the bioeconomy.
