FOSC pre-announces upcoming trans-continental call for proposals

The recently launched ERA-NET Cofund on Food Systems and Climate (FOSC) aims to contribute to the creation of a strong and effective trans-national research and innovation network between Europe, Africa, and Latin America. The ERA-NET recently published their pre-call anouncement for the first, co-funded, joint research call. The call will focus on the assessment of the consequences of climate change on agri-food markets and on the development of sustainable and resilient food value chains in the context of changing food needs and patterns (diets). The currently involved twenty-four funding partners from twenty countries, together with the European Commission, bring together an indicative budget of approximately EUR 17 million. The Dutch Ministry of Agriculture, Nature, and Food Quality is one of the funding partners.

The call is expected to be published on the 2nd of December 2019. Closing date for preproposal submissions is on the 12th of February 2020, and full proposal deadline on the 21st of July 2020.
