Consultation for upcoming joint research on ‘Urban Accessibility and Connectivity’ open

JPI Urban Europe has opened an online consultation to refine the preliminary version of the call text for an upcoming call, to be launched in December 2019. A new ERA-NET Cofund proposal on Urban Accessibility and Connectivity has been selected by the European Commission, and the JPI now invites stakeholders to respond to this open consultation on the call topics. The open, online consultation has been set up in order to get advice and feedback for the preparation of a transnational, European call for research, development, and/or, innovation proposals dedicated to urban accessibility and connectivity and to urban mobility. At present, 21 national research and innovation funding agencies from 16 European countries (mainly members of JPI Urban Europe), have earmarked a global budget of about EUR 25 million. This includes co-funding of the European Commission.  A preliminary description of the call content and topics has already been drafted. The topics are decomposed into six main challenges, each tackling specific aspects and issues of urban accessibility and connectivity. The consultation is available until the 23rd  of October 2019.
