Croatia joins JPI Oceans as a new member

The addition of Croatia to the JPI Oceans’ member list takes the number of nations involved in the initiative to 21. Croatia will be represented in the Management Board of JPI Oceans by: Ivica Vilibić, PhD, of the Institute of Oceanography and Fisheries and Sandi Orlić, PhD, of the Ruđer Bošković Institute.

The Chair of the JPI Oceans Management Board Caron Montgomery welcomed Croatia to the board: “With the inclusion of Croatia we are very pleased to have a new partner from the Medditeranean sea basin committed to contribute to our common goal to enable Blue Growth and jobs, whilst fostering the health and productivity of the seas and oceans” As one of the representatives of Croatia, Sandi Orlić added that he looks forward to work together to enable a mutally beneficial partnership between Croatia and JPI Oceans.
