The Joint Research Programming Initiative on Agriculture, Food Security and Climate Change celebrated its 3-year anniversary on 22 October 2013 in Paris, and launched on this occasion its first biennial Implementation Plan for 2014-2015.
Publication of results: 11 research proposals selected for final funding under the Multi-partner
Call on Agricultural Greenhouse Gas Research
The Multi-partner Call on Agricultural Greenhouse Gas Research has published the final list of selected research projects, with an overall success rate based on the Letter of Intents of 31%, and a success rate based on the full proposals of 48%.
The call, initiated by FACCE-JPI with the American National Institute of Food and Agriculture of the USDA, New Zealand’s Ministry for Primary Industries and Agriculture and Agri-Food, Canada, was launched in January 2013. It mixes in-kind and in-cash contributions by 8 FACCE-JPI countries and 3 third countries for an approximate total budget of 9.9 million euros.
Research proposals were evaluated in a two-step process (eligibility according to national funding rules, and scientific evaluation by an International Evaluation Committee (IEC) consisting of 8 independent expert scientists.
Out of 36 pre-proposals received in March 2013, 30 projects were invited to submit full proposals. 23 were received, from which 11 projects were selected for final funding.
